‘If this new CD was a drink…it would be absinthe. Stereo de Luxe have taken beats and vibes from all parts of the musical spectrum and mixed them into one hell of a cocktail’ – properlychilled.com
The warped and slightly twisted sound of Berlin producers STEREO DE LUXE is revived once again with their teasing new electro pop EP Strawberries and Tangerines that is taken from their forthcoming third studio album UNISEX.
Their tight, highly polished and somehow very Germanic sound may be familiar from film, TV and games having added to the soundtracks of everything from NIKE to SONY PLAYSTATION’s LittleBIGplanet.
Social Know How and Wobble & Squeak will unite both the dub-step and electro-swing fraternities this winter with one storming release that is set to shake a fair few clubs to their very foundations.
The EP will be available as a 2 track download and a VERY LIMITED split 12” single with SWING REPUBLIC’s Drum Boogie (Featuring Gene Krupa) on the AA side.
The EP artwork references graphitti artist Shepard Faery’s spoof vintage record artwork reworkings by plundering the same sources and it is this that gives the EP it’s “What Goes Around…” title, echoing, we hope, the recycling elements of this brilliant musical hybrid.
Lodekka's release schedule is as laid-back as his style, but it makes no odds when his music is as timeless as this.
Effortlessly blending the funky grooves of an Eddie Harris with the dub of Price Buster and a tasteful dash of ambient electronica, Lodekka never lets his jazz credentials obscure the mood of his music. This is one to sit back with, relax and enjoy. A real summertime classic in the making...
Jem returns with a perfectly timed and unexpectedly fresh twist on a sound that has sometimes, in less skilled hands, become formulaic in it’s swift rise. The Perpetual Lotion EP raises the bar once again and opens up many new possibilities. This record will alter the future sound of electro swing!
From the quirky artwork to the music within, Jem’s vision is completely rounded, brilliantly realised and thoroughly detailed. Here the 1920s and 30s samples aren’t just backed by a house beat, but given such a distorting twist the whole has become something else entirely. Something new. The EP is slower and darker than before with brooding bass and deeper production that adds a vibrant completely contemporary edge.
As ever with Jem, the tracks are accompanied by his fantastic animations here Available on VERY LIMITED 12" vinyl here or to download in the unreal world just about everywhere including iTunes...
We are very excited to announce the release of Electro Swing Republic, the debut album from Swing Republic. It represents long overdue recognition for the Danish producer and confirms Swing Republic as one of the original pioneers of the new electro swing genre...
The album remixes Swing and Rhythm & Blues classics with guests like Count Basie, Howlin' Wolf and Bing Crosby...
It is also now available in a deluxe digipack CD version which includes a new and previously unreleased track, Drum Boogie. Have a listen.
This 12" vinyl only EP contains 3 dance-floor bombs! All are taken from the forthcoming album by Swing Republic:
I'm Leaving was one of the stand-out tunes on White Mink 2 and is featured here in an extended, DJ-friendly format. It's a killer electro swing tune that will become a staple set closer for many DJs.
Peas and Rice is another uptempo stormer that starts bass-y before really kicking in at the first chorus. Cryin at Daybreak slightly breaks out of the mould with a wicked blues remix in a fat and funky downtempo style. 100% quality.
VARIOUS - White Mink : Black Cotton Vol 2 (Electro Swing vs Speakeasy Jazz)
Second time around for the critically acclaimed, album-charting double CD series and this time the genre needs little introduction. Electro swing versus Speakeasy Jazz - "Music from the decade that invented HOT! And when we say hot, we mean scorching!"
After an intermittent series of EP and 7” vinyl releases and her first haunting album Ultravenus on Freshly Squeezed, we are pleased to have assembled a delightful worldly second album from Dodo - Voodoo Poundshop.
Dodo creates a very different instrumental melting pot of twisted folk-tronica and Eastern Spice with her second album. Somewhere between Balkan Beat Box (Kashmir Yam Boys) and a soundtrackfor Slumdog Millionaire (Psychic Saveena) with elements of The Gotan Project, this is a complete departure from the electronica of her Ultravenus album and yet she again manages to conjure a complete and magical world at once coherent and exotic...
The haunting second album from London’s erratic and reclusive artist and multi-instrumental composer Dodo.
ULTRAVENUS, brings together her spaced-out b-music electronica. A collection that includes highlights of her output for us along with material from her debut album ‘The Android’s Dream’.
"A cross between an imaginary 50’s sci-fi b-movie, all spooky theremin melodrama, a BBC Radiophonic Workshop Open University science program on the Moog Synthesiser and space-age bachelor pad exotica with a dash of Kate Bush thrown into the mix for good measure."
Taking the sounds of the 1920s and 30s and giving them a big, bad twist, Jem delivers three killers for the electro-swing dance floor. The bowler-hatted, big-band brass section and speakeasy clarinets are underpinned by a darker brooding bass and production that adds contemporary electronic edge to the trad jazz-band.
A double CD compilation from our very own Nick Hollywood that needs little introduction. Bringing together the likes of Parov Stelar, Waldeck, and Club Des Belugas with undiscovered gems re-mastered from rare and original 78's by artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Django Reinhardt and Billie Holiday, this is a brilliant CD.
The music of the first Great Depression meets the technology of the second!
To celebrate the inclusion of The Voodoo Trombone Quartet's debut single on the latest version of Sony PlayStation's LittleBIGplanet we are re-issuing the track in the original flavour plus a brand new electro remix from the excellent UR Penetrators plus the original 12" Lemon Refresher Mix.
Second EP from Lodekka. As well as more of the same, Lodekka step aboard the funk bus with a title track that out-grooves even the late, great Eddie Harris! Listen to the sound of sunshine; OUT NOW!!!
THE VOODOO TROMBONE QUARTET - The Voodoo Trombone Quartet ...Again

VARIOUS - Eclectrik
12 track CD and 11 track download compilation, nominated a 'record of the year' by Bearded magazine. Eclectrik brings together the very best of the first 2 years of Freshly Squeezed on one electrifying release.
As well as the bonus track, the CD version is partially mixed, costs less than a fiver and comes in a sexy tactile reverse-card sleeve. It's also very good and the perfect introduction to the label. Can't say fairer than that, buy the CD here.
DODO - Electric Love
Limited edition 7" vinyl (here) or 3 track download EP of this electro-pop gem that so memorably opened our recent Eclectrik compilation.
LODEKKA - ZESTEP016
4 track download only EP of lo-fi stoner dub described as "a small masterpiece of well-balanced, reverb-embracing tracks" (Bearded). The first in an on-going series...
DODO - The Android's Dream
Download only EP featuring the very best 3 tracks from Dodo's amazing debut album. Curiously described by Mixmag as "aural acid candyfloss!" - while we're not sure what exactly that is, we do know we want to try some!
STEREO DE LUXE - Disco Desperado
The 2nd download only EP in the series introduces 3 new and previously unreleased tracks plus vocal stylings by Hartmut Lippstueck.
Disco Desperado is the key tune here marrying funked up dirty bass to an implausibly infectious groove. Accompanied by the slightly further out, tongue twister, Bouchez and the softer, polished lounge stylings of Breakfast At Annies. Very cool in a very German way.
THE VOODOO TROMBONE QUARTET - The Phantom
Limited edition 3 track 10" vinyl (here) and download EP
The ska meets break-beat Hammer-horror instrumental of the lead track has been shaking dance floors everywhere making this one of our best selling releases ever. Also the first hint of what to expect from the new VTQ album.
STEREO DE LUXE - Sexuality In The Eighties
Download-only 3 track EP, the 1st in an ongoing series. The classic and long sold out 7" of the title track is re-issued here coupling its highly influential twangy-guitar meets electro-mambo with two more recent, and previously unreleased, cuts.
Limited edition 12" vinyl and download EP featuring the best 2 cuts from Foxgluv's WEA album plus an exclusive remix by "renowned ambient techno innovator" Jonah Sharp of Spacetime Continuum fame.
A sparse, sexy slice of down-tempo electronica with a fresh laid-back beat meets a b-side that raises the stakes (not to mention the eyebrows) with its X-rated rap about transexual alien abduction. George Clintons Mothership Connection meets "a trip-hop Deee-lite."
Limited edition 7" vinyl single (here) and download EP that includes the infamous VTQ From The Block, one of the tracks that started it all for the band when it became an internet cause celebre, claimed by some to be the source for J-Lo's song of rather similar title! We have been advised by our legal department not to comment further at the present time!
LEMON - Batman (Twist!)
Limited edition 7" vinyl (here) and download single (see the YouTube video). A garage-electro-twist version of the classic 60's Batman TV theme complete with organ solo and trumpet work-out, the flip weights in with a new version of album track Lets Go! BIKINI

Double A-side back-to-back 7" single (sold out 12") and download EP. One of the best tracks from both With A Twist and The Voodoo Trombone Quartet. The download EP includes Lemon's Voodoo Juju Remix and Skeewiff's Suzie Q Dub.
SUZIE Q is also a re-working of the late 60s classic famously the track playing in the scene from "Apocalypse Now" when the Bunny Girls emerge from the helicopter. It was also the break-through hit for Credence Clearwater Revival.
LEMON - Up!
The debut album featuring the perennial classic Latin Lover (as heard on TV!), Easy, Tiger! and West Pier together with a new version of Mr. Bongo (Part 2). The CD is long SOLD OUT but now available to download.
